"Eine Nacht im Grand Hotel" a 1931 Nero Film was directed by Max Neufeld and produced by the highly regarded Seymour Nebenzahl, who that same year produced the Fritz Lang masterpiece "M". Nero Films founded in 1926 was known for its high-quality productions especially the famed "Testament of Dr. Mabuse" following which both Fritz Lang and Seymour Nebenzahl fled Germany.
Plot of the Film:
In the film Eine Nacht Im Grand Hotel Marta plays the role of a glamorous artist, Glay, who is a guest at the Hotel. An impecunious young man, Fritz Ebner, played by Ulrich Bettac , is in love with this young star and not only manages to bluff his way in to getting a Royal Suite but succeeds in wining, dining and dancing with Marta. All the while he is plotting and scheming how to pay. A hilarious drama unfolds.[J1.1]
